FAQ
Questions people actually ask
Who is Paul, and why does he keep coming up?
Paul Sanford spent twenty years in the Army and thirteen more investigating cyber crime for the Department of Defense. He designed what access we ask for, how your credentials are stored, and he reviews every tool before it ships. He comes up a lot because handing anyone access to your business accounts is the biggest thing we ask of you — and he is the reason it is safe to.
What exactly are you doing that my SEO person isn't?
They work on ranking in a list of links. We work on whether AI names you when someone asks for a business like yours, and on which AI crawlers can reach your site at all. Different layer. We're not replacing them and we'll happily talk to them.
What access do you need, and why?
Access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics, your Google Business Profile and your server logs — so we can measure. Plus permission to change three things: your robots.txt, your structured data, and your Business Profile fields. That is the complete list. Your credentials live in Bitwarden, encrypted and revocable by you at any time. Paul — who spent thirteen years investigating cyber crime for the Department of Defense — decided what we ask for and how it is held.
What exactly do you change on my website?
Three things: your robots.txt, your structured data, and your Google Business Profile fields. That's it. We never touch your content, your keywords, your design or your SEO strategy — and if you have an SEO person, we tell them what to change rather than doing it ourselves.
Are you insured?
Yes — general liability and cyber liability. Ask and we'll send the certificate. Cyber liability matters because we hold access to your systems, and most vendors our size don't carry it.
Can you guarantee results?
No, and nobody can. We control the technical work — crawler access, indexing, structured data, tracking, and a real person answering. Nobody controls whether an AI names a business or when. Anyone who guarantees that is guessing, and that should tell you something about them.
What are your refund terms, exactly?
We refund months we haven't worked yet. We don't refund work already delivered — that time was spent on your account. Prepay a year and leave in month seven, you get five months back. Thirty days notice, any reason.
How long before I see something?
Crawler fixes land in days and you'll see the bandwidth saving almost immediately. AI citations take months, because we're changing what the internet says about you and then waiting for the models to catch up. Anyone promising AI results in weeks is guessing.
Why do you ask for a year?
Because the honest version of this takes a year to show properly. A three-month trial would show you the easy wins and none of the real ones.
Who actually does the work?
Real people, in Colorado Springs, whose names are on the About page. You get their phone numbers, not a ticket queue.
What happens if my score drops?
You hear it from us first, the same day, with what happened and what we're doing about it. You should never learn bad news from your own dashboard.
Do you work with my competitors?
Ask us. If we already work with a direct competitor in your category and your area, we'll tell you before you sign, not after.
What if I already have an agency?
Keep them. We do the layer they're not looking at, and we're happy to talk to them directly. An agency that understands what we do usually ends up referring us.
Is this just SEO with a new name?
No. Our methodology page shows the four channels, their weights, and what the score deliberately excludes — with the base rates and their sources. Read it and judge for yourself.
